About the practice

Guides, not salespeople. Counsel that outlasts the transaction.

True Forge Advisors Incorporated is an independent, fiduciary-minded advisory practice. We compare life insurance across multiple top-rated carriers on your behalf, build household financial literacy so the advice that follows has somewhere to land, and steward long-horizon wealth and transfer planning — run by a single advisor against a single written plan, delivered virtually to households in all fifty states.

The page below exists to explain how the firm is structured and why. It is not a sales pitch; it is the operating argument we make to ourselves before every recommendation we put in writing.

TRUE FORGE
What we are notNot a captive agency. Not a shelf. Not a transaction desk.
The independent structure

Independent broker. No captive shelf. No hidden incentives.

The shape of the firm is the shape of the advice. The reason this practice is structured as an unaffiliated broker is structural: a captive agent carries a single shelf, and the incremental pressure of that shelf eventually bends every recommendation toward it. Removing the shelf is the prerequisite for clear counsel.

01

Independent multi-carrier broker

We are not affiliated with any single life insurer. We compare term, whole, universal, and final-expense options across multiple top-rated carriers and recommend the one that fits the household — not the one that pays the largest commission.

02

No captive carrier relationships

There is no parent carrier, no in-house product, and no shelf to clear. The recommendation follows the household’s fit, because there is no firm-side product to push onto it.

03

Disclosure-first compensation

Carrier compensation is paid out of the chosen policy’s premium. Its amount does not steer the recommendation, and any referral fee that exists on an engagement is enumerated in plain language, in writing, before the work begins.

One advisor, one written plan

Three service lines. One advisor carrying the whole household.

Insurance placement, household literacy, and long-horizon wealth planning are not run as separate businesses. Each pillar informs the others: the questions raised in coursework shape the policy that gets placed, the policy funds the plan that gets executed, and the plan reviews all three against the same household facts. No hand-offs, no competing vendor incentives, no orphan recommendations.

01

Insurance brokerage

The right policy, sourced from the open market.

Term, whole, universal, and final-expense comparisons across multiple top-rated carriers, with underwriting navigation for non-standard health profiles. Re-evaluated at life events, not at sale anniversaries.

02

Household financial education

Literacy before product.

Structured coursework for parents, young adults, and multigenerational households. Budgeting, debt reduction, retirement readiness, estate-transfer fundamentals, and basic investing. Practical, cohort-based, recorded for follow-up.

03

Long-horizon wealth planning

The plan that outlives any single product.

Customized accumulation, preservation, and transfer plans — including concentrated-position, business-succession, and multi-generation coordination. Reviewed at least annually and after every major life event.

Virtual practice, all fifty states

One practice. A footprint that follows the household.

True Forge operates as a single virtual practice — no branch offices, no franchise footprint. The model lets us serve clients across all fifty states while keeping the engagement auditable end-to-end. The trade is made deliberately: a physical branch would add overhead and concentration risk without adding anything to the quality of the counsel.

What the virtual model buys you

The same advisor, end-to-end. No branch hours, no front-desk handoff, no jurisdiction-specific referral friction. Every call, signature, and disclosure on the record.

  • Scheduling, document handling, and follow-ups handled through a secure client portal.
  • Onboarding and plan reviews conducted over secure video, with electronic signature.
  • Every recommendation and disclosure kept on-the-record and auditable.
